ray-ban sunglasses, mulberry bag, zara shirt and jeans, jeffrey campbell shoes
Sometimes simplicity is the best answer. A checked shirt, a pair of jeans, a pair of high heels but at the same time very comfortable and a bag that incorporates the colors of the paintings of the shirt and you're done. Simple, youthful and comfortable.
In these days I received a lot of e-mails asking me to explain about the incident, how did I feel and stuff like this. For not answering one by one (sorry but I have very little time to do it these days) I decided to write it here, so everybody who is interested can read it and have all the answers that needs.
I believe strongly that the words of Scott have been misunderstood, there is nothing negative in being defined curvy, as I said, curvy is a woman with curves, and I have curves, so this adjective fits fully me and my body. Curvy is the epitome of femininity, and of feminine beauty, so it's only a compliment. I think it's easier for me to judge those words and give the correct meaning, because when we met he had explained what was the reason of his attention to me, and it is easier to understand what someone means when you look into your eyes. By my side I can only say that every woman is beautiful in her body, whatever it is, if she feel good with that body!

Congratulations on being shot by the Sartorialist - I think that's wonderful. And I think the uproar over his use of the word 'curvy' for you is a bit silly. I think you're gorgeous and as a tall, "curvy" girl myself, I just think it's wonderful you got featured.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love your blog - keep it up!

I´m absolutely agree with you. I´m "curvy", sometimes I like how I am, sometimes not, but I think that the curved adjective isn´t hurtful for a woman. We must have attention to the correct meaning of the words. I don´t understand how it can be a problem about a comment without intention of hurt. I think that I would be happy if The sartorialist say something as well about me, haha! I understand your feeling.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I know that may english is horrible! but I wanted to express my opinion.
Thank you so much about your comment!!! You`re so nice!!! thanks, thanks, tahnks!!!
About this outfit: simply and cool! I love it! are the shoes really comfortable? wow! I think that I can´t walk whith that.
Kisses!

ReplyDeletenow that i've seen today's pictures of you it actually does seem like curvy wasn't the best way of defining you. you look like a model! and you're certainly well under average when it comes to weight. agreed though- curvy is a compliment. i'm not a fan of the anorexic look so i think you're fabulous :)
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are totally fab! Can I borrow them?
ReplyDeletethanks for clarifying the situation - too much bother about what was obviously a compliment to you. with good reason - you are gorgeous :)

First off, I love your hair! It looks awesome!!! Secondly-this outfit-simplicity at its best ;)
ReplyDeleteI love your blog; so glad I've found it! And I really respect your for your confidence and the way you're handling all the drama around Scott's words. I really do think he had the best intentions; it's just that the fashion industry is a place where words can take on a very different meaning than one intended them to have. In any case, you're absolutely gorgeous, and I'm loving your style!
so pretty!
ReplyDeleteBelle le foto! Fino ad ora sei l'unica blogger che abbia visto indossare così bene e con tanta disinvoltura queste scarpe!

You look fabulous. Too bad people are so busy trying to be "politically correct" that they have forgotten the beauty of words and how to use them in their proper context. Keep being elegantly curvy :))
