PICNIK TIME: how to set and what to bring

The picnik almost always is associated with hot summer days, but for me every opportunity is a good one!

This fall was definitely warm, and so a weekend we decided to go to one of our favorite destinations, Cogne (I will tell you more in the next posts) which is only a hour and something far from our place and so we decided to make an autumn picnik.

For the sandwiches, we decided to buy something in the small local shop open on Sunday where we found fresh local products, such as fontina cheese and dried beef.

While the bread I personally baked the same morning.

For the dessert I made small rolls of cinnamon and nuts, really delicious but also very easy and quick to make. Maybe I should share the recipe with you?
We also brought so much seasonal fruit like pomegranate, persimmon and apples annurca, as well as various nuts.

little tips :

  • the ground in autumn is already pretty cold, so not to get sick, take with you a yoga mat so you can put it under your pretty blanket!
  • in autumn the sun sets early, expecially in the mountains, so if you want to enjoy more this picnik time, go early!
  • don’t forget your thermos with a hot mint tea, as I did 🙂

OUTFIT DETAILS:

Stradivarius sweater/ Cluse watch / Happy Socks/ Zara jeans/ Vintage hat
