Discover Botanic garden Hanbury with me

This summer we decided to do something different and despite going to some exotic destination, we opted for a mix of vacation and work! How we did it?

We simply moved in a city by the sea in Liguria, the left side of the Italian boots, just right close to France. There we spent almost teo months between work and holiday mood. And to be totally honest that was the best decision so far!

You know guys that I’m a huge fan of travelling and could spend all my life in different parts of this world, never stop exploring and wandering around but this time this decision seemed as the most perfect one. It was exactly what I needed, it gaved me the chance to concentrate on my work, dedicate myself to the blogging but at the same time enjoy the sea and that fresh breeze and also explore the area around us!

We started with this Botanical Garden and then discovered also 5 little villages of Liguria, some by the sea and some in hinterland of this beautiful region of Italia.

But let’s start with this incredible and huge Botanical Garden Hanbury!

The entrance is very beautiful with a cinese word impressed over, Fo’ what means “happiness”.

We followed the signs to see the whole garden and all its plants, which are mostly the big trees and cacti. The territory of the garden is very huge and on the way to the sea is down from the hill but when you have to come back, as you can immagine, it’s all up! hahah go guys when it’s not 30 degrees outside as we did!

There are many wisteria plants and the scenary should be so beautiful when they are blooming.

One of my favourite parts of the garden was the Dragon fountain, the atmosphere was so beautiful with all those plants and papyrus plants inside. A statue of a women was hiding the cavern and inside of the fountain there are huge tartles, but don’t try to touch them, they can bite you!

While walking trough the pathway down to the sea there are so many beautiful scenaries and it’s so lovely to spend there the afternoon while reading the story of that place from the beginning and how it changed in time thanks to Dorothy.

Find all the info about the garden here!
