LOCANDA AL COLLE, TUSCANY, ITALY

You know guys that I’m a fervid globetrotter, I’m like a little child who wants to be always in move, constantly exploring places which could be another country, city, a hotel or a restaurant.

And I’m always happy to share with you every detail of my trips, because it’s so useful and nice to have other advises.

We promised this year to dedicate more time to Italy and explore it as much as we can, as Italy is a real treasure which hide beauty at every corner.

I wasn’t in Tuscany for a very long time and I was really excited to come back to this region. My main idea was to relax and stay away from the city and all the sounds, keep working but surrounded by good air and sounds of birds. So we found Locanda al colle!

Locanda al colle is not a hotel but a little guest house with 12 rooms and an amazing little staff that made our journey unforgettable. I don’t really know to tell you if I fell more in love with the place, with incredible interior design or with Riccardo, the owner of the place.

The guest house is situated in a very strategic place, just next to the sea (about 15 min by car ) but with the feeling that you are in countryside, on top of the quite hill.

As soon as we got there I fell in love with the mid-century interior design! This is my favorite style and this was the first time I was in a place so perfectly furnished. Then I got to know that it was Riccardo who selected every single piece, a big part coming from his private collection collected through years and now living in this beautiful guest house. Of course, I asked him all his secret places where to get such a beautiful interior pieces!

Our room was called Tramonto, which means Sunset, exactly the time when we got there. As soon as I opened the door of the room I was screaming of happiness for how beautiful was it ( who was following the stories of that day heard that scream in real life :)!lucky you 🙂 ). The room was all in soft yellowish and green colors in harmony with the surrounding garden.

I loved it so much that probably this was the time when I spent more time in the hotel room as I never did! Chilling on the velvet sofa or in that wonderful huge bath tube overlooking the olive trees of the garden.

We had also a lovely private terrace!

I spent hours exploring every singe part of the place and lost in the garden for hours while reading a good book or chilling in the hot jacuzzi.

My favorite part of the day was the morning! A early wake up call with the sound of birds and the most peaceful atmosphere and then down to the kitchen with every day fresh made deliciousness made by the chef Gian Luca to enjoy in the patio!

The last day of our stay was unforgettable! We started with a cozy aperitivo with champagne on our terrasse overlooking the most incredible sunset of the year! The moment when you really realize how lucky you are to be there, right now!

The rest of the evening was pure magic!

The hotel tree time a week organize a dinner made by the chef Gian Luca and we’ve been lucky to be there one of these days! Of course, with huge excitement we asked to take part of it and was the cutest dinner ever with all the guest on a huge table talking in different languages, sharing experiences and lives from different part of the world and all with a perfect delicious plates!

Honestly it was the best stay we had so far, a place where I really really want to be back and I’m sure will be! It was unforgettable!
